4 Secrets to Great Network Marketing Opportunities

Network marketing opportunities have some great benefits and some weaknesses. But newer companies have overcome most of the bad parts.

The trouble is knowing which ones work the best, and which ones are stuck in the dark ages.

1. Where to get real information
You can just plug the name into a search engine and see what you get, or you can go to a great source to find out what real distributors have to say about a company.

When I need inside information, my secret locations are MLM forums and Better Networker. You can get in for free, and ask others their experience.

They have articles, forums, free training available and you can even make some friends and take things off line to see their businesses if you like.

Follow the forum rules, of course. Taking the time to talk to real people almost always helps you understand a company better.

2. The Pay Plan
Network marketing compensation can add or detract from a company in a serious way. I don't like companies that require you to balance your legs, for example.

The secret here is in what you want out of a company. If you get paid big bucks to sell a product, then people who like to retail will do better. Those who like leadership will do better in a company that gives serious overrides for the groups under you. And a 1 up or 2 up rewards you for bringing people in and getting them started well, so that they trust you with their first recruits.

For those that don't like sales at all, an online company may work best for you. You can recruit online and never have to go to a meeting.

Few people look at the comp plan a network marketing opportunities has as a management tool. When you see it that way, you can often save yourself many months of wasted work. Match yourself to the right kind of opp.

3. The Product and You: do you match?
Network marketing today has an abundance of health related companies. That's great, but what if you don't like the subject of health?

While I use many of these products, I didn't like some of the aspects of working in those companies. I decided to find another subject that I liked better.

Instead of spending a year trying to figure out how to do it anyway, look for a company that you like. Find a company that has a focus you prefer.

I have been asked to join companies that sell books, kids toys, real estate training, online products, cosmetics/skin care, legal services, clothing, and more. Don't settle for the first one that comes along, find your passion.

4. How to do it
These days, if you use old methods, you will probably get frustrated building your network marketing opportunities. Spend some time with the new methods of attraction marketing to build your business.
