Tips to Get Over Your Ex Boyfriend
Chances are you've dealt with heartbreak before, but it hurts just as bad as (sometimes worse than) the time before. But it's a part of life, relationships start, they have ups and downs, and they end. You just have to know how to properly handle the end of a relationship so you can forget about your ex boyfriend and move on with your life.
The first thing you should do after breaking up with your boyfriend is take some time for yourself. Your mind is probably racing with thoughts about your ex, but if you can get away from everything for a day or two and clear your head, it will do wonders healing your heart.
Start by thinking about your last ex boyfriend. Remember how much it sucked when you first broke up? But how often have you thought about him since then? You moved on from your last ex boyfriend with no problems, so moving on from your new ex boyfriend won't be a problem either. Just keep telling yourself 'time heals all wounds', because it does.
You have to accept that it's over. Sure, some couples get back together, but the majority of couples that break up don't get back together, mainly because there was a reason for the breakup in the first place! But if you keep thinking about him, hoping he'll want to be with you again sometime down the road, you're just leading yourself on.
And the longer you just sit around thinking about, and obsessing about your ex boyfriend, the longer it's going to take for you to move on with your life and find a new buy.
This is the single biggest mistake girls make. They think that their ex boyfriend just needs a little bit of time, and you'll be back with him in a week (or month, or year). You have to break this thought process now! You two were not meant to be, and you can't keep thinking you two still have a chance together, you don't, and you have to accept that fact now.
Avoid listening to love songs because these will just stir up negative emotions since you're going through a breakup, and it will just remind you of your ex boyfriend, instead of helping you forget about him. Breakup songs also have this same effect, except you can relate to them. Still, if it makes you think about your ex, avoid it or get rid of it.
Do you remember how you thought your last ex boyfriend was "the one" for you, but then you broke up and you forgot about him. Why should this new ex boyfriend be any different?
