How To Be A Happy Person And Enjoy Your Life
Do you want to be a happy person?
It may be easier than you think.
Instead of waiting for a miracle, you can precipitate one by seeding clouds of abundance with a few sprinkles of right thought and right action.
Deciding to be cheerful can make success much more likely. This is because your positive vibrations will attract to you, through the law of attraction, the things you want and need.
Happiness, despite rumors to the contrary, does not come from success. While lack, of course, whether of wealth, health and relationships is never uplifting, your happiness could be pushing away money, love, friendship, and vitality.
Let us look at a few things that an upbeat person does to stay cheerful.
A happy person sets goals because it makes him or her feel in control of time. So master your time by setting goals. Then make the goal manageable by breaking it into doable tasks. While you may overestimate how much you can do in a day, you may underestimate how much you can do in a year.
A happy person acts happy. A happy face makes people respond to you positively. In addition, you will change your own internal chemistry. Yes, you may have to fake it, but soon it will actually happen. Smiling reconditions your nervous system; it reprograms your subconscious mind. Pretending to be happy actually makes you happy.
A happy person does joyful work, pursuing a career that matches their interests and that makes them feel capable and lovable.
While leisure can certainly alleviate stress, once you have recuperated, it is work, personally meaningful work, that stimulates a good mood.
A person in high spirits exercises regularly to stay on a natural high. Rhythmic movement stimulates serotonin and strenuous exercise stimulates endorphins. Couch potatoes, on the other hand, feel lethargic and bored.
A cheerful person takes time to renew. Sleep, silence, and solitude restore a sense of well-being. Fatigue, dragging from one activity to another, creates cranky, irritable behavior.
A content person loves others. Acts of kindness, moments of sensitivity, and careful and patient listening make people feel wanted, loved, appreciated, cherished and respected. And the good that you do for others comes back to you multiplied.
A happy person is grateful. Gratitude not only heightens a sense of well-being it draws to you even more to be grateful for.
Finally, a joyful person appreciates that life is much more than it appears to be. He or she understands that there is a greater dimension to all things. Spiritual connection is important to someone who strives for an optimistic frame of mind.
