The surprise winner of the DREAM welterweight grand prix was none other than Marius Zaromskis. With this upset, Zaromskis became the promotion's first-ever 170-pound champion. He defeated Hayato "Mach" Sakurai and Jason High with back-to-back knockouts.

DREAM 10 was held at the Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan. It aired live on HDNet. In the fight with Sakurai, Zaromskis used a head kick that knocked Sakurai to the canvas, then finished him off with punches and semis. Zaromskis used the kick to knock High to the ground and win the tournament.

Born in Siauliai Country Lithuania, the 5'9" fighter earned his nickname of Whitemare with 12 wins, 3 losses and no draws. He has 9 (T)KOs to his credit, 1 submission, 1 decision and 1 other. His losses include 2 (T)KOs and one other. He fights out of the London Shootfighters academy and is sponsored by Serious Pimp. He was one of eight fighters to compete in this mega event.

Zaromskis entered the MMA scene at UKMMAC 13 on November 27, 2005. There he defeated Jack Mason via TKO. He picked up another KO victory over Kazys Grigaliunas in February of 2006, and went on to defeat Afnan Saheed in the first round of the fight.

He felt the sting of defeat on August 20, 2006, when he was knocked out by Che Mills. Zaromskis came back with a fury and defeated Darius Swierkosz just three months later. 2007 brought wins as Zaromskis won three of three bouts. His fight with Ross Pointon was called when Pointon received serious cut during the second round.

Zaromskis had a rematch with Che Mills in May of 2008 in his next bout and lost. He made a comeback in November 2009 at a Bushido Lithuania event where he soundly defeated Jedrzej Kubski.

Early in 2009 Zaromskis was scheduled to compete as one of eight welterweight fighters in DREAM's 2009 Welterweight Grand Prix. Zaromskis defeated Japanese qualifier Seichi Ikemoto in a unanimous decision after two rounds to earn his place in the semi-finals. He comes out of the British, Cage Rage organization.

The finals of DREAM's current featherweight grand prix will be held at DREAM 11 on October 6, 2009 in Kanagawa, Japan.
