The Magical Mystery Of Writing

By George Hutton
Aug 25, 2009
What is the difference between somebody like you, and somebody who only dreams about writing a bestselling novel? Is it talent? Is it some genetically inherited creative genius? Is it luck, getting the right agent, at the right time, in the right market? While these can help, they are not the most important part of writing a captivating thriller that will sell thousands if not millions of copies.

What is it that gives one the ability to take your brilliant yet un focused ideas, and through an almost magical process, transform them from vague thoughts into specific letters, words, sentences and paragraphs that when strung together, can transport your readers to magnificent journeys of emotional catharsis?

Because you are reading this, you are well on your way to discovering this secret. Even if you've never written anything substantial before, you are in exactly the right place and the right time to get started.

The secret is to write. Every day. Just like practicing your golf swing, or you tennis backhand, by writing every day your skills can only get better. And the more you write, the quicker yours technique and style will increase to the point that you will be eager for anybody and everybody to read what you've written. You will publish on blogs, sites like this one, Internet forums, anyplace that takes the written word in some form and allows you to display your work for all to see.

When you think about it, it is pretty simple. Writers write, dreamers dream. The more you write, the better you get, and the more others will enjoy your words.

When you make a consistent habit to write on a daily basis, not only will you naturally and effectively increase your skills, but also develop a deeper appreciation for those things you are learning to describe with better dexterity.

Many people that have already realized this can testify to the power that comes with writing on a daily basis. And those that are just discovering this can really feel a sense of deep appreciation for that which others are barely beginning to notice.

Although it may seem difficult at first, you'll soon get to a point where the words flow straight from your creative mind to the page like water. And then you will know, really know the passion and wonder with which you can learn to express yourself.

So what are you waiting for? The sooner you start, the sooner you will maximize your skills and share your vision.
