In a flood not only is everything in its path at risk of some damage but your foundation could really receive a lot of damage with some of this damage not seen by you. When you go to buy a home you want and expect to live in it for years to come. So it is up to you to make sure that nothing in the ways of damages happen to it. Make sure that you do periodic checks on the whole house from the top of the roof to the foundation. Being that you can not see the bottom of this foundation you can check it from the inside of this home by way of basement. If you do not have a basement you can still check it by going in the crawl space with a flashlight and look. If you find anything that make you question get with the proper professionals.
