Email Marketing with Purchased Lists
These days you can find and purchase anything that you are interested in on the World Wide Web by doing an Internet search and pulling out your credit card. If the item that you are after is a hard good then you can be fairly sure of what you are getting. I mean it says what it is and it is either going to be new, used or refurbished. Those are really the choices. If it is a service or an intangible then you have to be a lot more careful in making that purchase.
Let's look at purchased email lists for a second. If you put in that key word into Google you will get just under one billion results back. That is a lot of places selling you lists of email accounts. You can purchase literally millions of addresses from these places and with a mouse click and a couple credit card numbers you are up and in business with all these wonderful email addresses that you can paste into your marketing email and send them off into cyber space. If it were truly that easy and reliable, everyone on the Internet would be a millionaire due to the marketing blitz.
The net result here is that out of 1 billion ads saying that they offer you email addresses for as fee there is likely only going to be a bout a thousand that can give you a bunch of email addresses that actually work and will get your email into a real box. The trick here is to look at those providers and see which ones have addresses that most closely match your needs for what you are trying to market.
Maybe you need to search by a geographic area for what you are marketing. Perhaps you need a specific age group or gender. Maybe you are after a specific nationality of people that you want to target with this Email marketing blitz. Whatever your reason you need to find a way to break it down into some form of categories that make sense in your context and will fulfill the needs that you have for this particular item.
If you are going to have to purchase the bulk of the Email addresses for your marketing, you don't want to throw good money after bad so when you have narrowed it down go into each individual company and look them over. Do they have a good history? Is there a live customer service number with a real person to speak to in your native language? Do the statistics match the demographic criteria that you have set forth when you were laying out your plan? If so then you may have struck some pay dirt.
I would still call and speak with a human before placing this important order. Find out what kind of promise or guarantee they give on rate of live addresses and the like. Once you make the purchase it is too late to change your mind so be 100 percent sure of your choices.
