Secrets To Great Skin Revealed

Aug 17, 2007
Most of us would have to agree that nothing beats having great and young looking skin. This is why many people are exerting all efforts to keep that youthful glow all over. But with the pollution problem in our environment plus the unhealthy diet and lifestyle most people are leading, we can't help how these harsh elements have caused damaging effects to our biggest organ which is our skin.

The skin especially on our faces would be the very first thing other people notice and people who are bombarded with acne, uneven skin pigmentation and other skin related problems have suffered lower self-esteem and shame. Here are some courses of action to take to help improve your skin as a start.

The market is bombarding us with so many skin products but you have to bear in mind that not all of them are good for your skin or better yet most of them would not also suit your particular skin type. Always check the products before using if they are hypo-allergenic or better if they are non-allergenic. The products should also be dermatologist tested. It doesn't mean that if it suits your friend or your sister, that it'll give you the same results as well. Consulting a dermatologist for your skin would always be appropriate in order for you to know which particular products with a particular content and set of ingredients would be best for you. When testing products, buy in small bottles first.

Your lifestyle is very important as well to having great skin. It is imperative that you drink lots of water, you eat healthy and the right kind of food. Lots of exercise and ample sleep is vital as well. Avoid or better yet stop smoking which can contribute to wrinkles around the eye area since it constricts blood vessels.

Make-up can do wonders to making us look good but they have to be washed off and thoroughly removed before going to bed. The use of skin care products helps a lot but they have to be in moderation. Too much of everything can be bad, you know.

There are essentially these basic cosmetic products that every woman should have. Every woman should have a good cleanser that is delicate and not harsh for the skin. A good toner is also important to be used after a good wash to help close up the pores. Have an exfoliant to exfoliate the skin maybe about once a week to help get rid of dead skin cells. Products with tretinoin are good especially for those who are older because of its anti-aging effects. Lastly, sunscreen is very important to help protect the skin against the harmful ultra-violet rays of the sun.
