Whether you're on foot, on a bike or bus, Berlin's sights and sounds is sure to captivate a curious mind with an eye for history, culture, architecture and fashion. Here are some of Berlin's most famous attractions:

Walk back into bygone times you only read about in history books and romance novels. The imposing beauty of palaces scattered all over Berlin and neighbor Brandenburg are undeniable testimonies of the breadth and width of German artistic, historical and cultural contributions to Europe. Savor the sight of Schloss Charlottenburg and see why this is Berlin's most impressive.

Experience Berlin in luscious greens at the Marzahn Recreational Park. This popular daytime destination boasts of unique Gardens of the World showcasing a variety of flora and plantlife from all over the world. Whatever the season, flowers are abloom in this 21-hectare piece of nature opened to commemorate Berlin's 750th anniversary in 1987. The gardens around here are definitely not miniature replicas of famous gardens around the world.

Its version of a Chinese garden is the largest outside of China. If you rent a holiday villa in neighboring residential areas of Hellersdorf and Marzhann, you'd enjoy exploring the park on your early morning walks.

How about a view of a famous historical landmark? The Berlin Wall, remains, no longer a symbol of a divided Germany and the Cold War, but now the world's largest open art gallery. Twenty years after its fall, only a few sections of this great German architecture remain. A trip around the fallen Berlin Wall, not only highlights the contrast of ancient and modern architecture, but it gives you a taste of history in vivid, artistic color.

See Berlin from above atop The Fernsehturm, the highest building in the city. Member of the World Federation of Great Towers, The Fernsehturm proudly stands at a dizzying height of 368 meters. Although the viewing platform is over a hundred meters below its peak (203 m), it is more than adequate to afford tourist and locals a stunning view of the Berlin skyline. The Telecafe takes you to a classy taste of the sights of Berlin with a unique 360-degree view as it rotates on its axis.

From a taste of modern architecture, see an imposing Renaissance fortress in Spandau: The Zitadelle is simply magnificent. This ancient architectural masterpiece includes Berlin's oldest - the Juliusturm, a remnant from 1200. This allegedly impregnable square constructions brings together more than 900 years of ancient fortress architecture.

Whatever you fancy - churches, castles, fortresses, modern buildings - Berlin has something to suit the most discriminating eyes. But beyond the visual pleasure and architectural wonder, Berlin's sights offers the curious tourist a unique walk-in-the-park trek down memory lane as it melts sharp contrasts of antiquity and modernism into one vibrant city with a proud heritage.

If you want to enjoy all the sights to see in this lovely city, consider going with holiday apartments during your stay. Then you can enjoy spending some time in the area, seeing all the sights, and then enjoy coming back to your apartments at night for relaxation.
