How To Treat Hemorrhoids Quickly
There are different ways that a hemorrhoid can be treated, either at home or in a doctor's office. People who suffer from chronic problems with hemorrhoids may have to have a surgery. These are not surgeries that will take long in most cases. But to make you feel a bit better we are going to look at a few things that a doctor can do to help out with hemorrhoids.
First there is a treatment that is done outpatient, called rubber band ligation. Basically in this procedure, the hemorrhoids will have a rubber ligature placed right above them. As this cuts off the supply of blood going to the hemorrhoid it will die and fall off. Once that happens all your body will do is have to heal up the area where the hemorrhoid has fallen off from.
Hemorrhoids can be removed by way of sending an electrical current through it. This procedure is referred to as hemorrhoidolysis. Sclerotherapy is another procedure whereby the hemorrhoid is injected with a substance that makes the hemorrhoid become hard and die off.
A rarely used therapy is cryosurgery, where the hemorrhoid will be frozen off; this was found to have too many side effects. It may be used but on very limited terms. Lasers may be used to remove the infected area, but it has become less popular through the years with other options becoming available that help out more.
Hemorrhoidectomy is more invasive and are done under anesthesia. There are two types of this surgery. The first one involves the complete removal of hemorrhoidal tissue. However, further research as shown that this surgery may cause incontinence later in life. With a stapled hemorrhoidectomy, the blood flow to hemorrhoids is inhibited by surgically folding the tissue to the dentate line. These two procedures are generally used for difficult cases of internal hemorrhoids.
Any surgical procedure will require a period of recovery. An invasive surgery such as a hemorrhoidectomy will of course take longer to heal from. How to treat hemorrhoids will be a decision that your doctor needs to help you with, so discuss your options and factors that bear on your decision, such as age, other conditions, etc.
Rather than undergoing surgery, you may find that more natural approaches for how to treat hemorrhoids is a better choice for you. There are numerous herbal remedies available, but ultimately, it boils down to keeping a healthy lifestyle, Make a few adjustments to your daily diet by increasing your fiber intake. Drink more water and get physically active. These few steps can help your body become more balanced and lead the way to getting rid of hemorrhoids permanently.
