How an Online Florist Can Save Your Bacon on Your Anniversary
Have you ever wondered what the big deal really is about being able to use an online florist? That's an easy one! When you're up a creek without a paddle, your florist can step in and save your bacon and no one will ever know what really happened.
Picture this: You're miles from home on a business trip. You've been gone for a week, and it's going to be another week before you get to sleep in your own bed. The day's meetings lasted forever, everything's gone wrong and you're being pulled in eighteen different directions. You finally stumble into your hotel room at midnight, drop your briefcase and flop on your bed-only to remember that your anniversary is tomorrow.
Uh oh.
You've got a couple choices here. You can call your honey at midnight to wish them a happy anniversary and hope they'll think it's sweet enough that you woke them up in the middle of the night that they'll overlook the fact that you didn't get them anything. You can wish them a happy anniversary and pick up a present somewhere between now and the day you get back home so you can "deliver it in person". You can start frantically calling florists on your lunch break (since no one opens til 9) and hope someone will be able to deliver on an hour's notice.
Or you can take advantage of an online florist.
Moments like this are exactly what online florists were created for. Why? First and foremost, they're open 24/7 (more or less). You can haul your laptop back out, tap into the hotel's Wi-Fi connection, use your credit card to place your order and forget about it. You've got it covered, and you can walk into your 7 o'clock meeting with a smile on your face. As big a smile as you can have at 7 in the morning, anyway!
With an online florist you can look at pictures of their selection and pick exactly what you want. If you're placing your order over the telephone you're going to have to take what you can get, throwing yourself at the mercy of whoever's working that day to have good taste. When you order online you know exactly what they're getting, and most online services have a place on their order page where you can type a sweet message to your significant other that's going to bring tears to their eyes.
And most online florists deliver on short notice, so you can keep yourself out of the doghouse and earn extra bonus points for remembering your anniversary and sending a present even though you're hundreds of miles away all at the same time. What's not to like?
This could close with a quick rundown on how great online florists are, and how convenient it is, and how you should take advantage of the next time you're out of town for a special occasion, but we already covered that. Let's close with this: Consider the implications if you don't remember your anniversary, or you let it slide until you're home again. That kind of offense doesn't get forgotten for years.
Food for thought.
