Projector is a very useful tool for businesses and schools. Every effective presentation needs the help of a good projector. Once you have bought a projector, you will naturally want it to last as long as possible. If you want to make your projector last longer, you need to take care of the bulb in your projector.

The bulb inside the projector is like any other electric bulbs, it generates heat. However, a projector light bulb generates more heat when compared to other light bulbs. Therefore, projector light bulbs are very vulnerable to damage. In this article, let me share with you a few tips to make your projector bulbs last longer:

1. Turn down the brightness of the projector. By turning down the power of the projector, you can make your light bulbs last longer. When the brightness of the projector is lower, it uses less electric power.

2. Make sure that the fan of the projector is working. The fan is used to cool down the light bulbs. So check the fan regularly to make sure that it is working. If it does not work, it will lower the lifespan of your projector.

3. Do not move the projector when it is in use. When the projector is switched on, heat starts to gather inside the projector. When you move it around while the bulb is still hot, it may burst. So wait for a few minutes after switching off the projector before you move it.

4. Keep the projector and filter clean. Filter cools the projector. Therefore, keeping the filter clean from dirt and dust will make the light bulb of your projector lasts longer.

5. Keep the projector in a safe room. The room should be big enough to prevent other objectors from bumping to it. Also, you should maintain the temperature of the room as constant shifts from hot to cold will damage the projector.

6. Do not leave your projector under sunlight. Temperature is an important factor that determines the lifespan of your projector. If you are transporting your projector from one place to another, do not leave it in the back of the car. Cars under scorching sunlight will damage the bulbs of the projector. You should also not leave the projector inside the car without air conditioning.

7. Allow the lamp to cool after usage. Do not move it immediately after move. By allowing the bulbs to cool for a few minutes after use, you can increase the lifespan of your bulbs.
