How to Make Your Projector Lamp Last Longer?
A projector bulb is more expensive than any other normal bulbs. Therefore, it is important that you know how to take care of it. Many people change their projector light bulbs every now and then because they do not know how to take care of it.
There are many ways to increase the lifespan of your projector bulbs. When you follow the tips that I am going to share with you in this article, you can make the lamp of your projector lasts longer.
1. Let the lamp of your projector cool. You should not move the lamp of the projector right after usage. Even after you have switched off the projector, the lamp will be very hot. When you move the projector while the bulb is still hot, it will burst. So after you have switched off the projector, let it cool for a few minutes. When you are using the projector, you should not move, shake or bump it. This is because the lamp is very sensitive and any movement can cause the lamp to burst.
2. Reduce the brightness of the lamp. When the bulb uses lesser brightness, the lifespan of the projector increases because less electricity is used.
3. Clean the projector filter regularly. The reason for this is to prevent overheating. When the filter is filled with dust and dirt, heat from the bulb cannot escape the projector. When the heat is trapped, it causes overheating. Therefore, you should clean the filter regularly, at least once in every 3 months. Also, do not block the fan exhaust. Make sure that the fan has a minimum of 2 to 3 feet room to breathe.
4. Keep the projector at the right place. Temperature is a very important factor that determines the lifespan of your projector. Some people like to leave their projectors in the car under scorching sunlight or inside the car without air conditioning. The quick change of temperature will cause the light bulb to burst. Therefore, do not leave your projector in extreme heat. If you are putting your projector in a room, make sure that the room is big enough so that other objects don't bump into it.
