When your business marketing budget is low and you're not sure how you're going to implement website marketing strategies don't worry, because there are several different free business website marketing ideas out there to help. Some of these ideas include: social networking, article marketing, sponsorship, free online advertising, free offline advertising, and starting a customer referral program.

Social Networking
Many people though social media was only a fad. Truth is, social media has taken the Internet by storm, now replacing pornography as the number one Internet activity. If Facebook were a country, it would be the 4th largest in the world. Getting involved with the community and getting people to talk about your product, service and company is a good business website marketing strategy.

Article Marketing
If you're a writer, you can write articles targeted toward the search engines about your product or service to submit to article directories that others can use to help them research or learn about the product or service. These articles will link back to your website, therefore giving people a way to learn more about your business.

Sponsorship
Getting involved with the local community by sponsoring a prize or contest for an event is a wonderful way to accomplish business website marketing. It also increases community and local awareness of the business, and shows wonderful support for your community.

Free Online Advertising
There are several different online directories that offer free advertising. Find ones that are location or industry specific to help your business grow the most. Consider starting an email marketing campaign, but remember to avoid unsolicited emails to keep your business in compliance with the CAN SPAM Act of 2003.

Free Offline Advertising
Find ways you can advertise offline for free. Leave business cards wherever you go. Post flyers up wherever you can legally do so. Leave catalogs with other local businesses.

Customer Referral Program
Start a customer referral program, offering rewards to customers who bring in new business. Outline the details of the referral program and market it to your current customers through online and offline methods.

There are many different business website marketing ideas that don't have to cost much of anything, if anything at all. They are only limited to the time you have available, and the effort you are willing to put forth. Don't forget to consider making changes to the business website, and to visit it often to find ways you can improve it. Offer a customer survey and look at analytic to find out what your customers think about the website and what they are doing while they are using it.
