Barry was a pitcher from junior high through high school and into college before he was drafted by the army during the Vietnam war. He leveraged his ability as an okay pitcher to avoid going overseas by keeping his unit winning games. The commanding officer didn't want to lose him so he kept him out of combat to face his baseball competitors.

Neil collected baseball cards and carefully packed them in special boxes in their original wrappers however, the aroma of sweet bubble gum wafted from the boxes each time he opened them. Neil loved the game even though he spent a great deal of his youth in the leagues sitting on the bench, he was the first string's greatest cheerleader.

Kenny was a shortstop and followed the careers of ernie banks, pee wee reese, Phil Rizzuto and of course, Cal Ripken, Jr. To date, his favorite is Cal because they shared the same birthday and they were both raised in Maryland. Although Kenny lives 3,320 miles from Baltimore, his favorite team is the Baltimore Orioles.

Each of these men have a special place in their heart for baseball and follow their favorite teams and leagues throughout the season to the ultimate games of the World Series. And each season, each one of these passionate fans of baseball has an urge to pick up a glove, a ball and swing a bat. Each swing brings back a flood of victorious memories, embarrassing moments, the hits and catches, the misses and flaws in a play. These moments stay with them.

So, while they dream of the past, they can relive their dreams and join seasoned coaches from professional baseball teams for a rigorous weekend of men's senior baseball. It's not just a fantasy, it's reality. Now, men past their prime can actually stand head to head with a well known pitching coach and get pointers on batting and making plays.

At the camp for men's senior baseball, each day focuses on workouts and strategies just like a professional team at summer camp. It's a great opportunity to finally learn how to curve the ball just right. Learn what could have been accomplished by making a small change in stance, posture or delivery. Any nuance or slight change could make a difference in batting, pitching, fielding. But the best experience of all is to make a passion or a dream into reality.
