Using Wealth Planning To Find Financial Freedom

By Sean Patrick
Sep 25, 2009
To many people, wealth planning sounds like an oxymoron. One of the most enduring myths about wealth is that no one actually plans to be wealthy. Most of us mistakenly believe that some people are born wealthy, while others achieve wealth through good luck or exceptional talent.

Of course, its true that some people are born rich. And a few exceptional people have climbed their way to the top. But its also true that"with proper wealth planning"each of us can build a more prosperous future.

Even though they have all acquired wealth in different ways, it is worth asking yours: what do Steve Jobs, Oprah Winfrey, and Richard Branson have in common? To answer this question, these three people have three things in common that they have used as their foundation in building and sustaining wealth. The three things are: vision, passion, and persistence.

The first thing you need, of course, when starting your wealth planning is vision. It is defining what wealth is for you, it is defining your goal, it is discovering what you want in your life, and it is analyzing what standard of living would suit you. Once you have finally clarified your goals, you are then able to set your sites and use your following tools to get on your own track towards your financial freedom.

Next you need to get working. While wealth planning is something that is appealing to everyone, it requires those with a strong drive and the willingness to continue the wealth planning process for the rest of your life. This is the time in which you decide where your true passion lies. If you don't have passion in what you're doing, success will be very difficult to achieve, and even more difficult to continue to pursue for the rest of your life.

Finally, being positive and persistent is essential. Don't be under the false impression that building wealth is a downhill coast ride. It takes work and it takes a consistent positive attitude. If you are honest about your passion and continue to pursue it, wealth planning will pay off for you.
