It can be difficult to find work at home options that are both legitimate and family friendly. As a work at home parent you want to find a balance between work and family.

Most likely you are working at home so you can spend more time with your family, so the last thing you want are jobs that take you away from them too often. Here are some work at home options for busy stay at home parents.

1. Surveys: Doing free or paid surveys can be a great
work at home option. It doesnt take too much time out of your day and they can be interesting and fun. In order to make this a serious work at home job, rather than just a fun pass time, you would need to sign up at several survey companies. The average survey taker works about 3 hours a day. This gives you plenty of time to get the kids ready for soccer practice.

2. Customer service: More companies are looking to hire stay at home parents to provide customer care, especially online companies. As a work at home customer care agent, you get all the benefits of working from home (no commute, no child care costs etc), as well as many of the benefits of doing
customer care. The pay varies but work at home agents make somewhere around $8-$15 an hour. The schedule is flexible for majority of companies and on average work at home customer service reps work 20hours a week, making this a good work at home option that offers work/life balance.

3. eBay: Selling merchandise online is one of the best work at home options. You can make a lot of money while still having the benefits of working from home. eBay is a great platform to sell on if you do not want to manage a website. eBay sellers do need to make sure they work on a regular basis. However, many people who sell on ebay manage to work 4 hours a day.

4. Affiliate marketing: When it comes to easy lucrative work at home options, affiliate marketing is at the top of the list. In case you are unfamiliar, affiliate marketers are people who sell other peoples products and services and then earn a commission.

Because they dont have to concern themselves with creating the product, customer service, or shipping and handling, affiliate marketers have more time than those who own and operate web stores. You do need to spend quite a bit of time sending traffic to your affiliate program and learning new marketing techniques, but the average affiliate marketer works around 6 hours.

When choosing a work at home option, consider what you like to do. If you dont like selling then steer away from those types of work at home models. Also consider what works best for your family. All the options above offer you more time to spend with your family, giving you a better work/life balance.
