Jerry Seinfeld Tickets - Back Together Again

By Brent Warnken
Sep 25, 2009
The cast members of the hit '90s sitcom Seinfeld are banding together again for this season's Curb Your Enthusiasm. Creator and star of the show, Larry David conceived of this "faux reunion" of sorts several years ago. He is mum on specifics but all of the main actors are back: Jerry Seinfeld, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Michael Richards and Jason Alexander, as are all of the old, familiar sets. Apparently they will all be playing fictionalized versions of themselves as the fictional Larry David tries to create a fictional version of an actual Seinfeld reunion. Got that? I didn't think so.

We will have a glimpse of what is to come in Episode 3 of this season's Curb Your Enthusiasm, which will feature cameos from the former series' supporting roles, like Newman, Estelle Costanza and Kenny Bania. Other guest stars in the episode include Meg Ryan, Rosie O'Donnell, Christian Slater, Elisabeth Shue, Sharon Lawrence, Philip Baker Hall and Amy Pietz. Episode 3 is also the kick-off of the "Seinfeld reunion," so tune in for a real look at all of the semi-fictional characters in a former fiction-based non-reality show. Still confused? Is there not a better reason to tune in? Also catch Jerry Seinfeld as he strikes out on his own with comedy sketches around the country. You can find your own pair of Jerry Seinfeld tickets today online before they sell out.

Comedian Jerry Seinfeld struck gold with the sitcom series Seinfeld, which he co-wrote with Larry David. In the series, Jerry stars as a semi-fictionalized version of himself, along with Jason Alexander in the role of George Costanza, Julia Louis-Dreyfus as Elaine Benes and Michael Richards as Cosmo Kramer. The show quickly became a commercial and critical favorite. The series ran from 1989 until 1998. The show won an Emmy Award and a Golden Globe and Seinfeld took home the American comedy Award for Funniest Male Performer in a TV Series.

After Seinfeld wrapped up, Jerry Seinfeld returned to stand-up comedy; an unusual move, considering that most television actors go on to pursue a career on the big screen. The same year that Seinfeld ended, he embarked on a tour and recorded a comedy special called I'm Telling You for the Last Time. In addition he also worked with Apple and American Express on advertising slogans and commercials and made appearances on programs like Saturday Night Live and the Daily Show With Jon Stewart. The only feature film that Seinfeld went onto participate in was the animated Disney flick Bee Movie. He has returned to the small screen, appearing in episodes of Curb Your Enthusiasm and 30 Rock.

Fans can look forward to his upcoming appearances in Curb Your Enthusiasm alongside his fellow Seinfeld pals. Seinfeld is also still making appearances on the stage as himself, a stand-up comic who just happened to be the star in show that really was all about nothing. Make sure to get your tickets online to see him perform live...the real Jerry Seinfeld I mean, not the fictional one.
