Triangulate Your Traffic and Make More Money

By Guido Nussbaum
Sep 27, 2009
If you have been keeping up with the Internet marketing news lately, you have probably already heard about some of the social networks that are available. These networks include twitter.com, facebook.com and youtube.com. Perhaps you're even available on one of these networks and are going quite well by creating relationships with individuals. After all, that is really what social media is all about and if you use it properly, it can provide you with a source of traffic that can outdo Google rather quickly. Of course, there are some things that you can do to make it better.

What most people fail to realize about social media is that it is more than simply one or two systems that allow you to connect with other individuals. Some people might use twitter on a regular basis may not be interested in using facebook at all. On the other hand, almost everybody enjoys watching online videos but they may not be interested in connecting with you through other forms of social media. That is why it is important for you to triangulate your efforts and to make the most out of them. Here is the best way for you to be able to do it.

The first thing that you need to understand is that when I say triangulate, I'm not limiting you to only using three of the networks that are available. What I am saying, however, is that you should always be sending people from one to the other and eventually taking them back to your home base. Personally, I enjoy having a blog as my home base because this allows me to interact with people, put them on my newsletter and get feedback from them directly.

Another main source of connections that I have with other individuals is through twitter. By using the social network, I am able to send people to my youtube account and to my blog very easily. I even passed people, from time to time, over into my face book account although I do keep this account limited to a certain extent. Why would I do this? Because it allows me to be an individual with these people and it helps them to form a bond with me so that when I do try to sell them something, they will be a little quicker to buy.

The most important thing for you to do whenever you're trying to make it with social media is to increase your efforts in a lot of different directions. Don't simply be content because you are doing okay with twitter or perhaps face book. Make sure that you are doing great in several different networks and continue to pass people around from one to the other in order to grow your reputation and your following. In doing this, you would be surprised with exactly how quickly your list will grow and your success will grow right along with it.
