When you have to get a new TV and you want to get a compact one with the top of the line design and features then the Toshiba Regza 22DV556DB is one to look at. Why? Well, it is an HD ready TV, which means that it is capable of showing you high definition images. This is great because nowadays every major network and company is changing or has changed to HD only.
The HD picture quality is lsightly different depending on the TV you want to get. The Toshiba one mentioned above is HD ready. This means that the quality is 720p or 720i. With the full HD, this is when the picture quality is at its best at 1080p or 1080i. These TV's are not as cheap as the ordinary TV's obviously, but worth every penny.
Now another kind of HD TV you get is one that says HD compatible. This is in fact not an HD TV. You will simply be transferring the HD signal into analogue so that you can still watch the same programs. You will not be able to watch in HD. You will actually still have to buy a box that you attach to the TV to transfer the signal.

When you get your TV you will be able to use it on the stand it comes with, in your TV cabinet or shelf, but you can also mount it on the wall. This creates a neat look and you can also use the TV as a picture frame.
Once you decide to go with HD you will never look back. You will find that looking at an ordinary TV hurts your eyes. Also you can get tons of DVDs that are now made with HD in mind. You can easily get a Blu Ray player to ensure that all the movies and TV series you watch on DVD can be superb picture and sound quality.
