1. Defining your space: If you have a separate room to set up your home office then you are lucky because the task will not be so hard. Making optimum use of the space at hand is the trick, whether if is a small closet, a mezzanine floor, a spare room or any other unused corner of the home. For better efficiency, you can look for and identify a particular space that can be made into the home office. If you want to work in a more professional manner then you should plan things in a way that there is no need of moving papers to change diapers.

You can either add a color that is lively and fresh or something sedate and calming that will set the right tone for you to work. If you want to show some creativity, then stencil a border around the desk or wallpaper, to define the space.

See what you already have: Look for furniture that you can move from one part of your house to the new office. You can save a lot of money if you already have some furniture at home that can be used. You could identify a comfortable chair that you have in the guest room or some nice paintings that are in the closet.
