Consider the Samsung UE46B7000 Model
The 46B7000 has a red tinged bezel mount to the screen. Whereas the 46B7020 has white edging to a platinum black appearance - on occasion its called the 46B7000WW or 46B7020W. They're all the matching TV under the skin.
Build Quality: The most striking feature of the UE46B7000 is that it could be described as the supermodel of Televisions, being very thin. In reality it is approximately 29mm in depth.Unlike some other manufacturers, Samsung has found space for everything within the package - no need for a separate box. And the set looks lovely as well, with a sheer black surround and a translucent stem linking the pedestal and the TV itself.
Sound: In common with nearly all new Televisions the sound output of the UE46B7000 is poor quality. There is so little depth to include adequate speakers. So, if you're planning on investing a lot of money in a TV like the UE46B7000 you really need to consider connecting it to separate speakers.
Picture Quality: This is the central benefit of the UE46B7000 over its competitors, in that it has replaced fluorescent backlighting with Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs). Though the backlighting technology is unique, the UE46B7000 remains a LCD TV. LED backlighting is said to have the following benefits:
* This technology gives a much more consistent backlight across the Television, as it uses a grid structure.
* As the LEDs are entirely controllable and can simply be completely turned off, they can create perfect blacks.
* Reaction times (when watching a rapidly shifting image) are faster.
* The colour palette is wider.
Connections: With 4 HDMIs, 2 USBs and a LAN connection, the UE46B7000 has all the connectivity you're to be expected to require for the impending future. With a separate, easily bought wireless USB stick, the UE46B7000 can get into any home wireless network and as well, any USB memory device can be used to permit it to play most multimedia file formats.
The main remote control is a slightly oddly formed device, a bit resembling a shoehorn. A little tricky to operate at first, but OK after you are used to it. The second, smaller remote just allows volume power and channel changes.
Energy efficiency: LEDs draw on much less power (between 100W and 130W) than the usual fluorescent backlighting so the Television will be less expensive to own than its competitors.
To Wrap Up: The UE46B7000 has only distinctly average sound output, as with most flatscreen TVs. However the rich colours and deep blacks it produces outperform other similarly priced TVs.
