Nurse's Guide: Cheap Natural Acne Treatments That Work for You

Aug 17, 2007
If you or someone you love suffers from acne - what you really want to know is what you can do about it. Many acne sufferers will try just one treatment and if it doesn't deliver for them they give up. Living with acne can be very difficult, and may be even more difficult to find just the right acne treatment for you.

One type of acne - Acne rosacea takes the form of a red rash which shows up predominantly on the face. Numerous studies have revealed that acne is not simply a problem of the young; it also affects people of many ages, and can severely affect their daily lives. Acne vulgaris is most commonly experienced around puberty, typically on the face, shoulders and chest. Acne will often affect almost every person at some stage of their life.

The cause of acne is still unknown and there is much to be learned. Experts can't agree on what causes acne. Hormones may have some influence on the cause of acne is still being researched.

A new, non-invasive treatment using two older methods combining red light and blue light has been extremely successful on severe acne it's been reported. None of the over-the-counter creams can help your acne from the inside out; they can only kill some of the bacteria on your face and help reduce the redness. Try applying a thin layer of virgin coconut oil and massaging it deep into the skin to heal and soothe the affected area.

Use only products that have natural ingredients or try to use fewer products to allow your skin to heal naturally. Coconut oil is one of the best, if not the best, treatments I've found for acne and other skin conditions. It is easy to treat acne cheaply, simply, naturally, yet effectively, at home.

Some natural home remedies include dabbing on non-gel toothpaste or lemon juice to dry out any zits. The treatment plan for acne includes trying to heal the pimples, stopping new pimples from forming, preventing scarring and helping reduce any embarrassment. One helpful remedy seems to be to use ice to reduce the swelling caused by any inflamed pimples: rub it over the blemishes for two to three minutes.

For the best acne treatment, which has worked for many, apply virgin coconut oil directly to the area daily; try it on a small test area first for a day or two. Shave carefully and try both electric and safety razors to see which one works best for you. It bears repeating that you want to be good to your skin and never pop or squeeze a pimple no matter how tempting it is.

Since the latest research indicates a connection between stress and acne, make an effort to cut down on stress any way that you can. Drinking lots of pure, filtered water may be one of the most important things you can do for your acne and any skin condition, working from the inside out.

No matter what skin or acne treatment you choose, whether it's chemical, drugs, alternative, or natural methods, changing your diet alone will be the best treatment you can do for your acne and you will achieve overall good health in the process. I can't mention it enough; drink lots and lots of pure, filtered water every day. When you change your diet, your lesions should start getting better within a week or two, with significant improvement over the first month.

The best acne treatment is a diet of living foods, that will help the body eliminate waste; if you're eating the standard American diet it will continue to be reflected in your blemished skin. And people with skin disorders such as acne, rosacea, and psoriasis often suffer from constipation; if you are, make sure you are drinking lots of water every day and add more natural fiber from raw fruits and vegetables to your diet.

Use olive oil with a little very fresh flaxseed oil in your big dark green salads. The next time you want to have a snack, instead of fatty junk food, help your skin - have an apple, orange, peach, pear, banana, plum, berries or any other fruit. Eating fruits that are red or orange in color will help improve you skin health and help to prevent acne in the future.

Concentrating on this diet, of mostly fruits and vegetables (preferably uncooked), and no junk food, should give you an observable improvement in your skin within just 30 days. Also eat foods that contain essential fatty acids.

With diet you should be able to get rid of your acne, zits and pimples and their symptoms so it doesn't reoccur. Now you don't have to be left behind because of a lack of knowledge. You should see the results of your cheap, acne home treatment remedies, with improved skin, within a few days.
