One language that information is often translated into is HTML, one of the basic building blocks of most websites. PHP was used to create certain portions of websites such as Facebook. It was PHP that Facebook used to create the portions of programming which dealt with how users access and interact with the program. It is not the only popular program to use PHP and PHP hosting, but it is by far the most well known.
