Cystic Acne Treatment - Are There Easy & Effective Solutions?

Cystic acne is a more advanced stage of acne. This severe form of acne takes the shape of large and painful boils showing up on the skin of the face. If cystic acne is not treated properly, it can leave painful and ugly scarring on your face.

There are currently researchers that are trying to find the causes of cystic acne, though for the most part the tests link it to an outbreak or surging of hormones within the human body. There are oil glands within your skin which have the potential to turn a bit lively, and this is because of the hormones. The glands will create an excess of oil and sebum.

After that the oil glands will begin to swell. As they swell, they will begin to harden beneath the skin of the face.

The oil glands then become inflamed. This is an infection, and cystic acne is what results. They begin to appear all over the skin in the form of red lesions.

Cystic acne treatment is rather difficult; one might get help from a dermatologist who will prescribe drugs like Isotretinoin, as well as antibiotics to reduce the infection and shrink the infected oil gland's size.

So you might have an urge to squeeze the cystic acne just to get rid of the infection within. It might even give you a little bit of relief, but you should probably avoid doing this. It will cause a scar, and on top of that, it will just come back. Sure that sounds bad, but guess what? It'll be worse, and it will take even more time to heal!

There is treatment, and it will involve you staying away from moisturizers and makeup for some time. For example, if you were to used chemical based makeup during the infection, it will cause more harm that good. You can however exfoliate the skin, which will remove those dead cells. Be careful with infected areas however. Use antiseptic soap and warm water.

Going out in the sun is also not a good idea when you are suffering from cystic acne. That infected portion of the skin is tender enough to get burnt. You do not want to suffer from sunburn over and above a bad case of cystic acne, do you? If you really need to go out in the sun, cover the infected skin portions with cucumber juice, so that they remain moisturized but do not suffer much from the onslaught of the summer heat, dust and grime.

A natural cystic acne treatment that is very effective for drying up this form of skin infection can be used. Wash your face with a mixture made up of 1 teaspoon each of buttermilk, honey and turmeric in 2 parts of chickpea (white Gram) flour.

This is a great way of ridding yourself of the cysts. In addition that it is the best exfoliating agent that you can use, at least among the natural ones.
