Night Moves: L.A. investigator Hackman sets apart his domestic grief to track nymphet Griffith to Florida Keys. Difficult however underrated mental suspense film by Alan Acute leads to shocking pinnacle. Cast includes Gene Hackman, Jennifer Warren, Susan Clark, Edward Binns, Harris Yulin, Kenneth Harms, James Woods, Melanie Griffith, Dennis Dugan, and Max Gail. (99 minutes, 1975)
Foxy Brown: There is bloodshed and little else in this story of Nurse Grier and her vendetta against a drug ring that has slaughtered her lover. Cast includes Pam Grier, Peter Brown, Terry Carter, and Kathryn Loder. (94 minutes, 1974)
Hail Caesar: Horrible music-megastar wannabe (Chamber) is in love with an offensive debutante, whose dad is plotting to undermine an upcoming concert. Not a very good film. Cast includes Anthony Michael Chamber, Robert Downey, Jr., Frank Gorshin, Samuel L. Jackson, Judd Nelson, and Nicholas Pryor. (97 minutes, 1993)
Borderline: Bronson, minus Jill Ireland this time, is a border patrol officer looking for a murderer. Cast includes Charles Bronson, Bruno Kirby, Bert Remsen, Michael Lerner, Kenneth McMillan, Ed Harris, and Wilford Brimley. (105 minutes, 1980)
Siddhartha: A choppy rendition of the Hermann Hesse novel that follows an Indian as he leaves his family to a find more stimulating life. This film is too artsy, although on-location photography by Sven Nykvist is often illuminating. Cast includes Shashi Kapoor, Simi Garewal, Romesh Shama, Pinchoo Kapoor, Zul Vellani, and Amrik Singh. (95 minutes, 1973)
Ali Fear Eats the Soul: Widow Mira, in her 60s, falls in love with and weds an Arab 30 years her junior. The work is a fascinating, calmly powerful Fassbinder film that is a redo of Douglas Sirk's All That Heaven Allows. Cast includes Brigitte Mira, EI Hedi Ben Salem, Barbara Valentin, Irm Hermann, and Rainer Werner Fassbinder. (94 minutes, 1974)
Luv: Murray Schisgal three character hit play in regards to pseudo-eggheads was not designed for motion pictures anyway, however this rendition is genuinely an abomination. The cast tries. Cast includes Jack Lemmon, Peter Falk, Elaine May, Eddie Mayehoff, Paul Hartman, and Severn Darden. (95 minutes, 1967)
