I'm sure that the answer to all of those questions is yes! And what you will learn from reading this article is that losing weight and getting fit quickly really is easier than you may have thought. Having the body you've always imagined is easier than you would think. Below are the 7 simple steps to losing weight and getting fit quickly.

START SLOW. Do not set ambitious goals when you first begin exercising as you are likely to not achieve them and your enthusiasm will wain quickly. You will end up thinking that exercise is just too hard for you. This is not the case. Begin by exercising twice per week at the most, and then once you adjusted to this increase it to 3 or 4 times a week. The key is to gradually increase the number of times you work.

PLAN TO GET FIT. Get yourself a journal or a chart to use to track your progress. Every time you exercise write down what you accomplished and where you are on your plan. If your goal is to be a certain weight by the end of the year, then each time you exercise write down how much closer you are to achieving this. You need to also take a note of what you eat each day and roughly the calories you consumed. Imagine how you want to be and realise that the exercise you have done has taken you one step closer to realising your goal. This way you will stay motivated and you are much more likely to succeed.

KEEP IN YOUR MIND THE BENEFITS OF EXERCISING. Remember you are exercising to improve your health above all. Health is the most important thing you or I have and taking care of it is critical to a long and happy life. When you are fit many aspects of your life improve. You will be full of energy and you will feel less under pressure with the daily problems that we all have to cope with.

HAVE AN EXERCISE APPOINTMENT. Don't pay lip service to exercising. You need to mark in your diary the dates and times you are going to exercise and stick to it. No skipping appointments. There is not much else more important than your health so keep the appointments and you will see over a few weeks an improvement in your fitness levels and this will encourage you to keep going.

CHANGE YOUR EATING HABITS. Exercise is only half the answer in losing weight and getting fit. Remember excess fats you are storing are simply unused energy. In order to shift these fats you must burn off more calories than you are consuming. With the wealth of information available to us, it can be difficult knowing what is healthy and what is not. A good place to start is to look at healthy eating cookbooks and websites. Start by increasing your intake of raw foods such as vegetables and fruits and try to make your meals from scratch so you know exactly what is going into them.

DON'T SKIP YOUR MEALS. Breakfast sets up our metabolism for the day. Your body needs food after sleeping all night so make sure that you have a decent breakfast. It is just as important to not miss any other meal. Missing meals knocks your blood glucose levels all off and your body then sets itself up to store the fats from the next meal you eat. Upsetting your metabolism in this way is certain to make it much more difficult to lose weight. It also affects your enthusiasm for exercise as you do not have the energy needed when you need it.

DRINK PLENTY OF CLEAN FILTERED WATER. You probably have heard this many times but it really is a key step in losing weight. Almost all processes in our body require water and that includes proper digestion and maintaining a good metabolic rate. The recommended intake is 6-8 glasses per day, more if you are exercising. And sodas, teas and coffees do not count towards this.
