Is There Any Benefit To Drinking Coffee?
Sometimes people would not get out of bed if they didn't have the wonderful anticipation of the first cup of coffee of the day. While that statement may be a little far fetched, coffee has become an important part of every day lives for a lot of people. The fact that there are so many different kinds of coffee to drink, i.e., Espresso, Flavored such as Hazelnut, Mild, Strong, such as Columbian (and the list goes on) can provide enjoyment for just about everyone. One of the benefits of coffee, of course, is caffeine. But for those who cannot have caffeine, caffeine-free coffee is even available for them.
Here are 4 reasons to be a cheerful coffee drinker:
1. Coffee Is Good For Your Health: Coffee contains plenty of antioxidants which helps protect the body from heart related diseases and cancer. Drinking 4-5 cups a day also protects against cirrhosis of the liver and gallstones due to the coffee's soluble fiber. The antioxidants in coffee are small in quantity compared to fruit and veg and don't provide nearly as much variety.
2. Coffee Helps Protects Your Heart: Recent studies have shown that drinking 4 to 5 cups of coffee a day can reduce the risk of dying from heart disease by up to 50% compared to non-coffee drinkers. If you suffer from hypertension the caffeine can cause your arteries to constrict and raise your blood pressure. However, the temporary increase in blood pressure isn't a problem for those who don't have hypertension to begin with.
3. Coffee Can Boost Your Memory: A balanced moderate consumption has a beneficial effect over your mental and physical effect. Coffee helps reduce the sensation of tiredness, improves your short term memory and increases your intellectual performance. Drinking coffee on a regular and moderate basis may also reduce the risk of Parkinson's disease by up to 60%!
4. Burn Fat By Drinking Coffee: It is a well known fact that caffeine suppresses your appetite, so you eat less. On another note, coffee also increases your metabolism which in turn also burns more fat. Of course drinking coffee alone won't help you lose those pounds, but incorporated into your diet can do wonders to your waste line.
