Karaoke And American Idol
How many of you remember the first season of a new show called American Idol? Do you remember it? The drama continued to grow as the singing got better and better and more and more people watched because people were spreading the word about how good of a show it was.
Karaoke was always a popular thing and many people enjoyed doing karaoke, but it really took off with the advent of American Idol. People were amazed that a waitress from Texas could come on a show and win a million dollar recording contract. Her life changed and so did the singing industry, including the karaoke industry.
Once this show got steam every wannabe singer started to come out of nowhere. The karaoke industry saw a big jump in karaoke sales, including karaoke cds. Everyone seemed to be practicing their singing so that they could try out for the next season of American Idol.
Karaoke is a lot of fun as anyone who has done it will attest. Of course, it is a bit of nerves that make it hard to start. Even those who try it for the first time in their home in front of family find that it is not as easy as it looks. However, after a little bit of work they find that they can read and sing all of the words that are going across the screen and they can do it with style.
After you have become the pro at home, singing along just fine with the karaoke machine you will feel more confident to go to a party that will have karaoke. It is not a bad idea to take your own karaoke cds to the party so that you can sing the songs that you have already mastered at home.
At that first karaoke party you will find it fun to watch others do karaoke. There is always someone there that is a really good singer, but is a bit too humble about it and they will never even think about trying out for American Idol. Then there is the person that things that they are good and they will not hesitate to try out for American Idol despite some friendly persuasion that it is not really a good idea
In the karaoke industry you can find a wide variety of karaoke cds for purchase. Some people assume that pop rock and country are the only types of cds that you can find for karaoke, but that is simply not the case. If classical music or movie soundtracks are more your thing, you can find those too.
American Idol may have awakened a new generation to music again. The desire to sing was a fading thing for many. It was not as popular to be in a band like it was back in the seventies. Now, with American Idol in season nine, it is very popular and people are enjoying karaoke more than ever now.
