What Is Expected To Make The 2012: Polar Shift Occur?
2012: Polar Shift. Many believe that the year 2012 will bring about the next polar shift. Basically, it is expected for the North and South Pole to change places. If you are looking for a scientific explanation for this occurrence, it would be that the Earth will start to rotate in the opposite direction as a result of some unknown catastrophic event.
Some hold to the belief that earths rotation is not stable. Others say it is.
History may provide clues into what can happen during the shift by interpreting ancient writings.
Basically, what can be described as nothing short of Armageddon is thought to happen. Life as we know it will not exist.
Earth is made up of a solid core, layer of magma and then crust. The magma layer is one huge rotating donut. The magma layer is consistently being recharged by the sun thus providing earth with its magnetic field.
The last two thousand years has seen a 60% decrease in our magnetic field according to some people.
With a decrease of that magnitude, a pole shift can be expected within the next few decades. The Egyptians and Mayans recognized this possibility; but, one can only speculate what the end results will be.
The Mayans had theories on the causes of pole switching which can be experimented with today.
One possible cause of reversal is a lightning strike. It may sound impossible but think about it, when lightning strikes a magnet, the magnetic field reverses.
Like a magnet, the Earth has poles as well. If something were to cause a short circuit in the field, the poles might shift.
What could create a beam powerful enough to make the poles switch? A solar flare that results in beam from our sun can cause it. On occasion, our sun produces solar flares when the elements of the sun reach a certain point. If the elements were to reach an extremely critical level, the flare would result and the sun would reverse itself. Plasma clouds would be cast out into space along with a shockwave space matter that would eventually reach earth. It is believed by some that this will be the starting point for the polar shift.
If it is strong enough, a short circuit in the magnetic field would result.
Scientists can cause the poles of a magnet to change by firing large amounts of particles at the magnet. These particles get caught in the magnetic field and form a ring stream. As the stream increases in speed, the poles of the magnet reverse.
This experiment can be applied to the Earth as well. During a solar storm, the magnetic field can compress and speed up the power of the field.
Since particles from the sun carry the a magnetic charge, they would align with the magnetic field on earth. At the equator, particles would create a ring stream.
As a result, this magnetic field will be stronger than ours. For this to actually happen, a solar flare, unlike any in recorded history, will need to be produced by the sun.
It is believed by some, but not by all, that the flare will cause the poles to shift.
If the poles do shift, expect enormous destruction. Some people believe they need to be prepared for this. Given the facts it may be a good idea.
