The Buffalo Bills Bounce Back After Week One
The Buffalo Bills are an interesting team. With so much attention being focused on the New England Patriots and the new and improved New York Jets (not to mention the defending AFC East champion Miami Dolphins - oh yeah, remember them?), the Buffalo Bills are being overlooked.
Trent Edwards is still a quarterback looking to "find himself" and prove he is one of the top quarterbacks in the league.
Terrell Owens is the new face in Buffalo and with all eyes on him, Buffalo has more attention placed on their franchise more now than in the last decade. While T.O. will need his touches, when it gets very cold in Buffalo it will be time to run the ball - this is where RB Marshawn Lynch and RB Fred Jackson come in.
Additionally, he made use of new wide receiver Terrell Owens, who caught three passes for 51 yards, which included the likes of a touchdown reception. While Lee Evans only had one catch on the day, this was also a touchdown grab, and it's clear that the two powerful wide receivers make the Bills' offense a potent one.
If the Buffalos Bills are going to make any noise they must be more consistent on offense. As of now, they are in the lower half of the league in total yards and passing yards.
There's somehow a third wide receiver in town. Schouman is the name. Having had six receptions and a total of 62 yards, Schouman led the team in receptions during week two.
All of this has occurred while Marshawn Lynch is serving a suspension, though you'd never know it as Fred Jackson has simply been phenomenal. Once Lynch returns, this will be a dangerous duo.
Things are looking up in Buffalo. With the Patriots having nearly lost to the Bills in week 1 and losing to the Jets in week 2, this is really starting to look like anyone's division to win.
