The Search for Signs of Intelligent Life in the Universe: This is a witty re-creation of Lily Tomlin's 1985 one female Broadway show. Her characterizations run the gamut from box woman to juvenile delinquent to New Age Lady, with much of the material in a feminist vein. The show stars Lily Tomlin obviously. (120 minutes, 1991)
Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore: The movie tells the story of a lady's odyssey to find out who she is and her effort to find some measure of cheerfulness after her spouse dies, leaving her and a youthful child penniless. Cast includes Ellen Burstyn, Kris Kristofferson, Billy Green Bush, Alfred Lutter, Diane Ladd, Jodie Foster, Harvey Keitel, Vic Tayback, and Valerie Curtin. (113 minutes, 1974)
The Sea Shall Not Have Them: A British bomber airplane is taken down into the sea during WW2 and a huge effort is made to rescue it. Cast includes Michael Redgrave, Dirk Bogarde, Anthony Steel, Nigel Patrick, Nigel Green, and Rachel Kempson. (91 minutes, 1954)
Belle of the Yukon: A little musical of bar owner Scott going straight at request of his gal (Lee). The film is fast paced but very forgettable. Cast includes Randolph -Scott, Gypsy Rose Lee, Bob Burns, Dinah Beach, Charles Winninger, William Marshall, Guinn "Gigantic - Boy" Williams, and Robert Armstrong, (84 minutes, 1944)
Big Time: This is a Tom Delay compilation. Show footage filmed at LA's Wiltem Show is combined with scenes of the chameleon like Delay as assorted and miscellaneous characters: you'll see Delay, the sleazy lounge lizard, Delay?s the gravel-voiced crooner, and Delay?s the genuinely astounding actor. For Tom Delays fans, this is the next best thing to noticing him live. (87 minutes, 1988)
The Delta Factor: This is a Mickey Spillane story in regards to a private eye on a ClA mission to save a scientist imprisoned on an island. Cast includes Christopher George, Yvette Mimieux, Diane McBain, and Ralph Taeger. (91 minutes, 1970)
Michael: A set of skeptical journalists and a fake "angel" find that a dotty old female's claim that the archangel Michael is living with her is real. Michael, nonetheless, turns out not to be your normal angel. Genial, wry film by no means goes where you anticipate and takes its time getting there, however the trip is alluring, and Travolta, as the seedy, randy Michael, is impeccably cast. Cast includes John Travolta, Andie MacDowell, William Hurt, Robert Pastorelli, Bob Hoskins, Jean Stapleton, Teri Garr, Wally Ward, Joey Lauren Adams, Carla Gugino, Tom Hodges, and Wallace Langham. Search and Destroy: A severely broke computer hack on the outer limits of show biz plans to acquire funding for his fantasy film venture, an adaptation of the pop ranting of a male movement expert. Cast includes Griffin Dunne, Illeana Douglas, Dennis Hopper, Christopher Walken, John Turturro, Rosanna Arquette, Ethan Hawke, and Martin Scorsese. (90 minutes, 1995)
