Video Test of Six Registery Cleaners Exposes The Truth About Performance

By Tyler Young

As we continue to do more and more with our personal computers, it has become increasingly important that we perform periodic maintenance to keep it performing well. An important part of this is running a program to cleanup registry-Windows XP errors. There are many programs available to perform this and if you believe the advertising every one of them is the best. In order to determine the real truth about which registry cleaners are the best and especially which ones to avoid, you'll need to dig a little deeper.

The first thing to discuss is why we need a registery cleaner in the first place.

Most of us never look inside our PC to see what makes it operate, but if you did you would find an enormous amount of hardware and software items that must be coordinated in order for your PC to perform correctly. The registry is a large file that contains all of the directions that tell the PC how to operate. Every time you create a file, install a program or send an e-mail your PC looks in the registry for directions on how to do it. After you've used your PC for a while you can see why the registry can become overloaded with instructions that are outdated that can actually hinder the performance or lockup your PC. For these reasons, you should periodically run a program to cleanup XP registry errors.

Unlike all of the hyped-up advertising and fake review sites, we performed live video tests.

In order to cut through all the marketing hype, we got our hands on the sixth most popular registry cleaners. We lined them up side by side and had them do their stuff on the same registry file to get a true comparison of their performance. When the dust settled after they completed their scans to cleanup XP Registry errors, we tallied up the results and what we found was surprising! Even though they all tested the same file with the same number of errors in it, there was a huge difference in performance. Registry Fix came out on top by identifying and correcting over twelve hundred registry errors while the last-place registry cleaner found a measly ninety seven errors.

In this realistic side-by-side comparison, these six products varied by more than 1200%!

This is positive proof that all registery cleaners are not the same. With this in mind, we strongly suggest that you avoid the less well-known ones,, not only because they perform poorly but some have been known to actually cause damage. If you are registry file is damaged due to an overly aggressive cleaning, it could cause your PC to be very unstable and potentially unusable. Now you can understand why it is important to use only the best registery cleaner.
