Have you ever been in the gym and wondered how all those guys manage to bulk up, looking as though their t-shirts are about to tear, whilst you seem to be working out just as much but not gaining an ounce of muscle? Have you thought that there is a good chance the reason that this is happening is because you're eating an incorrect diet?

Most individuals who desires to build up muscle, and novices in particular, are astonished by the fact that your muscle tissue will never increase to its' highest percentage no matter how hard you work, or how much exercising you do, if you are not eating a diet that is conducive to building muscle.

On first hearing this, most people reduce their food intake completely, believing this will help fix their problem of not gaining any muscle. A drastic measure like this should never be taken for two reasons -

1. You have got to have a excellent and wholesome diet, for any kind of exercise that you are doing. You can acquire many assorted health problems, when you deprive your body of the natural vitamins it needs, and when you severely limit your food intake.

In fact, it is possible that you are in truth burning muscle instead of fatty tissue when you exercise if you have drastically lowered your calorie consumption in a very short amount of time. If you decreased your caloric intake seriously and quickly, your body will believe that you are starving to death and that any nourishment could be the last for a long time, so the body begins lowering your metabolism and storing the food as fat while it burns your muscle mass away every time you exercise.

The main point to note if you are losing muscle and not fat is to not worry. A large amount of people begin to think that they must have a problem with their body, but it is often much simpler than this and simply requires a change to how you approach your weight loss and muscle gain.
