How To Quickly Clear Internet History For Internet Explorer
If you value your privacy online, or are concerned about the security of your online transactions, you will need to learn how to take steps to avoid any one taking a peek at your activities. If you use Internet Explorer, it is easy to clear Internet history and keep what you do online from the prying eyes of everyone else.
When it comes to personal computers, the majority of people use a Windows based computer. Each one of these computers comes with the standard Internet Explorer browser. After reading this article you will be able to easily clear the history from Internet Explorer and keep your browsing habits to yourself.
If you don't have Internet Explorer already running, now is the time to do so. By looking near the top of the browser you will notice a link called Tools. To get started let's click this link to view a menu which will drop down. Look on the menu and select Internet Options.
Selecting Internet Options should make a box pop up. If you look at the top row of tabs on this box you will notice one says General. If it is not already selected please do so. Look carefully and you will see a button called Delete located midpoint of the box. Go ahead and click it.
You have to make a few decisions here before you hit the main Delete button. If you want to keep your Internet Favorites will have to select the very first option box. If you do not click this box, all of your favorites will disappear with everything else.
Next, you will want to select the box next to Temporary Internet Files so you can delete all of the web pages you have visited which have been saved to the hard drive. Your Cookies can also give away where you have visited, so go ahead and select that option also. Of course selecting the History option is needed, so go ahead and put a checkmark there.
Your Passwords can be saved if you like, but if anyone else is going to be using your computer then they will have access to them. After everything has been selected that you would like to delete, press that last Delete button. You have now erased all evidence of what you have been doing online.
