Stun Guns, Tasers and Pepper Spray As Christmas Gifts? Are You Nuts?

By Jim Wilkinson

Initially, don't expect the same joyous expression you are used to seeing on your loved ones face as they rip open the wonderful gift you will give her this year, a self defense product. Maybe it is a Taser C2 or a stun gun, maybe even a canister of pepper spray. Expect her first look to be one of confusion, not elation.

Her first thought might be "What is WRONG with him?" But then you tell her you are always a little concerned for her safety when she goes for her walks or when she is coming home at night. She smiles and gives you a kiss as she realizes how thoughtful you really are and how much you are concerned for her safety.

We all like to get nice presents at Christmas that we can start using right away. Self defense products are just such a gift. Giving a loved one, maybe it is your wife, girlfriend, college bound daughter or just someone you really care about, your gift of a self defense product will probably be the only one that can help save their life.

Don't be afraid that these are expensive items. They are not. There is something that will fit into your gift giving budget with no problem. You can buy a Stun Gun for under $100. Expect to pay about $350 if you decide on the new Taser C2 model. You can pay as little as less then $25 if you decide on a gift of a Personal Alarm that sounds a really loud siren or an assortment of Pepper Spray canisters.

Almost all personal protection products on the market today have versions that are designed for women. You can pick up a stun gun that is disguised as a tube of lipstick. You can buy pepper spray that is built into walking weights that a person carries with them when they are walking or jogging. The new TASER C2 is attractive, fits in a purse or briefcase nicely, and comes in an array of colors.

When you buy a self defense product as a gift at Christmas time you can count on it being appreciated, and more importantly used, for years to come. We have all gotten a gift at Christmas that of course was nice to receive but 2 weeks later we never looked at or used again. A personal protection device will not fall into that category. You can be sure it will be used.

Don't join the mad rush at your local shopping mall on Christmas Eve grabbing whatever you can as a gift for your better half. Give it some thought and buy a self defense product for her.

She will appreciate it.
