What Type of Christmas Lights Should You Choose?
Holidays are coming up, and this means that it is soon time to put up your Christmas Lights. For many of us, that also means that we have to buy new Christmas Lights, and since this is something you maximum do once per year, it can be hard to know exactly what you need to look for when buying Christmas Lights. In this article, we will be looking closer to some different types of Christmas Lights.
The C7 and C9 Christmas Lights
This is the most popular types of Christmas Lights. The C7 type uses a 2-inch bulb, while the C9 uses 3-inch bulbs. These lights are very bright and can be seen from a great distance. They come on long strings which can have up to 150 light bulbs on, and are designed so that if 1 light burns down, the rest will still glow unaffected. Now this is very desired by most people, when you have a big setup of Christmas Lights. These Christmas lights are definitely the most popular ones on the market, and especially when you put the LED lights on them. With the LED lights, you get very power efficient Christmas Lights that will not heat up and therefore can be used both indoor and outdoor. If you put your lights outside, the good thing about LED bulbs is that they don't shatter in the same way the old glass bulbs does, and therefore they are safer too.
The Mini Christmas Lights
These types of lights are much smaller, and generally hold about 50 to 100 light bulbs on each string. You will be able to find them with up to 300 bulbs on a string though. Usually they come with LED Lights as well, like the C7 and C9 Christmas Lights. But with these, you can also find them battery operated or solar powered which really can save you a lot of money in electricity and make the installation of your Christmas Lights much easier.
The Rope Lights
A more special type of Christmas Lights is the Rope Lights. These are made of LED lights inside a long vinyl tube, which makes them very easy to hang up and store when you are not using them. The can be used for pretty much everything. The bad thing with these lights is that the lights cannot be changed. However, since it is LED lights, they live for a very long time.
The Net Type Lights
A good idea when you have big surfaces to cover, or don't want to spend a lot of time hanging up big strings of lights, is these Net Lights. They are very easy to put up on trees, bushes and plain surfaces such as garage doors or walls. They give a more symmetric effect, and will fit in at every home. Like most other types of Christmas Lights, you can also get these solar powered or battery operated, which once again can be very good for your economic.
