Discover The Facts About The Creationism v Evolutionary Theory Argument.

By Mark Knowles
Nov 3, 2009
The creation v evolution issue has been going on since the days of Darwin. Secular scientists claim that the proof is irrefutable, and that Christians hold old to the creation explanation in denial. Christians claim that their source of truth trumps all, and that an evolutionary view is as much a spiritual as a scientific view. Before going further, just what does each side believe?

Creation Theorists believe that the earth was made by God in six days. The account of this event can be found in the Biblical book of Genesis. This text, many Christians believe is the only source of proof needed. Many Christians also cite that there are holes in the theory of evolution, which negate its credibility.

Evolutionists believe that the human race has been shaped by the survival of the fittest principal. For their proof, they cite science. Some claim that the Bible doesn't negate the possibility of evolution, some claim the Bible is wrong, and some simply don't care.

There are a number of Christians whose views do not fall into the creationist category, just as there are scientists who do not agree with every aspect of evolutionary theory. There are evolutionists who adamantly oppose Christianity, and those who agree with most of its teachings. There are pure evolutionists and there are those who settle somewhere in between. There are as many opinions on this issue as there are people arguing about it.

Because this argument deals with issues that have very personal meanings to some of those involved, it is difficult to find value-free information on the matter. There are great scientific minds, both Christian and non-Christian, who have written on this topic. Their biases are often apparent despite attempts to remain objective.

Even great scholars do not always agree. The fight is likely to continue for a long time among spiritual and scientific circles.
