Reckless Driving
Reckless driving is the bane of our society in todays world. Thousands of innocent people die every year because some moron wants to drive as fast as he or she can to impress their mates, among other reasons of course, a few of which well delve into in this article.
Defined as a serious moving traffic violation, reckless driving is the next level of careless driving, and has severe fines and penalties attached to a conviction. The more serious offenses of reckless driving carry with them multiple penalties. There are thousands of people who have permanently lost their right to a driving license thanks to some burst of insanity at a young age, and can never drive again in their lives.
In different states there are different punishments for reckless driving, however they are all very serious!
Some of the most common reasons for reckless driving are listed below:
Alcohol " As expected the top reason for reckless driving happens to be being under the influence of alcohol while driving and the fines for this offense are much more severe " as there are two problems here " of reckless driving, and of driving under the influence of alcohol. The false high alcohol gives causes a burst of adrenaline and that shows off on the road!
Peer Pressure " While driving with a group, it is very common to be goaded on by friends to speed up, or to overtake a particular speeding vehicle, and the result is reckless driving. For a conviction there need not be an actual accident. Just driving recklessly and being seen (or recorded) is quite sufficient!
Drugs " No real need to explain this one is there?
Road Rage " This is a growing cause of reckless driving, and the most common reasons for road rage are continuous traffic jams, congestion, or it could just be bad manners!
It is not an extensive list of reasons but you get the general gist. Whatever reasoning behind it reckless driving is simply not acceptable and it is up to us as a community to put a stop to it.
