Hydroponic gardening methods have been researched for a long time and are currently utilized by various growers. There are now various hydroponic methods that can be utilized to cultivate a range of different plants in just about any climate.

In order to install a complete hydroponic system there are several components that must be considered; an irrigation system, grow medium, lighting, and regulation of the environment. Every herb species can have different needs so the best grow designs are able to create the optimum environment for whatever flower is being cultivated.

There are several options to consider when designing a hydroponic system, it is vital that all the Design decisions you make are appropriate for the flowers you intend to cultivate.

One of the most critical aspects of any soilless method is the medium. Hydroponics means using just water as a grow medium as opposed to soil, although some systems use inert substances as cultivation mediums.

All hydroponics uses special nutrient filled concentrations to feed flowers. Some techniques suspend a plants roots in water while others deliver the solution through inert compounds including diahadro, coir, vermiculite, sand, and brick shards.

The watering system used is very important and all plants have an ideal schedule for when to provide them with nutrients and water. Static solution culture and continuous flow solution culture are two categories of indoor watering techniques. Other systems for watering include aeroponic, ebb and flow, passive sub-irrigation, and deep water culture.

Grow lights are vital for indoor gardening, without them raising healthy plants would be very difficult. To provide the intensity of light needed for proper growth gardeners often use specially engineered grow lamps. There are several different types of bulbs uses such as high pressure sodium, metal halide, fluorescent, and LED grow lamps.

After giving plants the water and light they need it is also important to constantly monitor their environment. Factors such as temperature, circulation, and atmospheric gas levels will have have a significant impact on the rate and and quality of growth.
