How To Stop Sleep Talking, A Few Tips
It can be really humiliating when people find out that you talk; mumble or mutter in your sleep. Somniloquy or sleep talking is a condition mainly caused by stress; insufficient sleep; fevers and anxiety. In some cases people might become really annoyed by it and you might even distance your friends. It is for this reason that I am going to share with you the proven ways of how to stop sleep talking.
Insufficient sleep is one major cause of this sleeping disorder. If your sleeping patterns are too stretched and strained it would be a good time to think about extending your sleep by two hours. By so doing you will be well rested and less pressured to rise so early when you slept so late. Anxiety doesn't go down well with inadequate sleep and if you don't sleep more your somniloquy might worsen.
Try not to eat heavy meals before going to bed. Being too full can give you indigestion that will disturb your sleep and eventually disrupt your sleeping patterns. Eat a quarter less than usual or space out your meals to make them smaller and more satisfying. With this done you can move to the next tip.
Yoga and meditation are relaxation techniques that have been used for centuries to calm the body down. The light breathing drills and positive thought patterns that are encouraged set you up for a restful sleep. Both will provide the peaceful inner comfort that will make sure your pulse rate is regulated. Stress levels will go down considerably and so will the anxiety, two things you must destroy if you want an end to the somniloquy.
Horror filled pictures or movies and images of violence will certainly keep your mind restless at night. If your mind is not at peace then sleeping well will be very difficult indeed. Eradicate all of these and try out soft music as this will soothe your nerves and again calm you down. As such, anxiety will slowly become a thing of the past as there won't be any evil thoughts to cause intense anticipation.
Sleeping disorders are not fatal. With a bit of focus and patience you will be able to get over sleep talking.
