Fun Motion Pictures Regarding Erroneous Identities
Trading lives with another is always a fun and innovative hypothesis for a storyline of a film. Check out these three motion pictures about mistaken, exchanged or just erroneous identities. Be geared up to fall down laughing as you see the characters ultimately empathize with another.
From 1987 and featuring Dudley Moore, Kirk Cameron, "Like Father, Like Son". A cardiovascular surgeon by chance sprinkles an old Indian concoction into his Bloody Mary and presto, he and his laid-back son have switched identities. Cast includes Dudley Moore, Kirk Cameron, Margaret Colin, Catherine Hicks, Patrick O'Neal, and Sean Astin.
Dudley Moore is a heart surgeon who is so wrapped up in his own life and his own work that he fails to notice his son's troubles with school and social activities. The identity crisis of course, leads to extraordinary complications at school and work but also helps both father and son see the outlook of the other.
In a similar plot the motion picture "Freaky Friday" from 2003 has Jamie Lee Curtis playing a mother who swaps lives with Lindsay Lohan who plays her 15 years old daughter. The mom wants more support for her imminent marriage ceremony to her fianc and the daughter wants her mom to support her musical dreams with her rock band.
A fortune cookie on a Thursday evening brings about a Friday where they exchange identities and learn to have sympathy for the other. But they have to find a way to change back before the wedding ceremony on Saturday. Starring Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan as mother and daughter and Mark Harmon as the mom's fianc.
And finally, a different type of identity switch motion picture, "Mrs. Doubtfire" is a warmhearted and satisfying comedy about a free spirited husband and father, who gets a divorce after fourteen years. Since he can't bear the thought of being away from his children he camouflages himself as a old-fashioned British housekeeper and gets hired as the kid's nanny.
Robin Williams stars as the dad and of course, Mrs. Doubtfire, Sally Fields is the mom and Lisa Jakob, Matthew Lawrence and Mara Wilson play the children. Mrs. Doubtfire is a excellent family motion picture from 1993 that should not be missed.
And there you have three movies that are based upon the unreasonable but amusing idea of mistaken identities. Enjoy.
