Redesign Your Backyard and Transform Your Outdoors

It's a time for loved ones to gather and enjoy a stress-free time together. There are creative ideas to turn your backyard into a party spot without breaking the bank. Here are some tricks to help you get the most out of the summer evenings to come.

Get everything cleaned and organized. Space is the key here, so take the time to go through the garden tools, garbage, and miscellaneous stuff that's scattered in your backyard. A cabinet with doors, a tool rack, or a large storage bin are all ideal ways to cover the rest and keep what you need nearby. Once the space has been organized and you have more space to work with, get out the lawn mower, cut the grass and edge it to make it look like a professionally landscaped space. A well-kept yard gives the impression of order and organization and is crucial to any party area.

Now that the outside area is well-organized, establish where everyone will sit. If you don't have patio furniture, consider getting some at a garage sale or second-hand store and sprucing it up with some new, soft cushions and repainting with some rust-repelling spray paint. You can get much more value for your money of furniture for very little cost and then make it look just like new. If you don't have a shaded area in your backyard, consider buying or renting a gazebo to provide shade for your guests. They are like extra outside rooms and have paneled doors that are easy to come in and out of and provide a great area for socializing. They can also serve to keep the bugs out if you choose to serve the drinks and food inside the gazebo.

Food and drinks are some of the best parts of outdoor get-togethers. Lemonade with frozen pureed fruit is a great way to add color, flavor, and pizzazz to regular lemonade. You can also freeze lemonade into cubes and serve it with ice-cold citrus-flavored soda for a tart and tangy twist on a classic summer beverage!

When the evening arrives, the flying insects come out, so consider buying the best repellent you can find to extend your night-time fun. They can really take care of the problem of biting bugs and make a better outdoor environment for you and your guests. Moreover, if you don't have one already, you can get something for making a fire outside for under $150 from a local discount store. Look online for classified ads by families who no longer need their perfectly good outdoor products, because they're moving or redecorating. This is a great way to get patio items at a huge discount than purchasing them new from a retailer. For added pizzazz, try stringing some lights outside to make your party even better!
