Most teenagers nowadays believe that having a clear and smooth complexion will help them improve their social standing. Frequently, teenagers with acne are cast out from the social circle. As a consequence, these teenagers resort to extreme measures to remove their acne and wind up carrying more burdens on their faces. With this kind of attitude, the best solution is to prevent acne from occurring.

It is vital to know that acne is sometimes a sign of unhealthy lifestyle or habit. If you didn't notice, your body become weak and is more prone to developing acne every time you are sick. The keys to having a smooth and clear complexion always lay in the food you intake and the activities you do.

Consuming plenty of water to replenish the body helps in achieving a healthier lifestyle. Most often, dehydration is one of the root causes of acne breakout. It can pollute the body and increase its chances of developing acne.

Following a natural healthy diet is also a key to maintaining a fit lifestyle. It is best for us to include foods rich in fibers and vitamins in our daily diet. On the contrary, we should shun ourselves from processed foods and even red meats, if possible.

If your skin secretes too much oil and build up dead skin cells, your chances of having a breakout is also high. Try to cleanse your skin more often to remove any excess oil and dead cells. This helps to stop acne breakout.

However, we must not rub the skin harshly and we should limit the number of times we wash our skin. Cleansing two times daily can already stop the dead skin cells from clogging the pores. More than that might cause drier skin.

Our skin will also become dry if we expose it too much to sunlight. There are instances that we can't prevent the heat of the sun. In this case, apply a moisturizer on the skin.

Lastly, free your mind from stress and anxiety. Otherwise, you will be more susceptible to acne breakout. Though scientists can't prove this statement, stress-free life is always the best way to start and live a healthier lifestyle.
