Transformers 2 Unleashed At BIG HOME VIDEOS

By Joy Banerjee
Nov 7, 2009
Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen has now blasted its way into theaters and IMAX and after just one day, the movie has managed to break box office records ($60 mil!). Transformers 2 writers Robert Orci and Alex Kurtzman have neatly sketched up the characters, adding more fun, spark and energy to them, than could be visible in the original movie.

The good news is that the movie and the robots bring more liveliness and action into the sequel. Those who remember the finale to Transformers will remember a speech given by Optimus Prime calling for the Autobots to head to Earth in an effort to live among the humans and protect them while Starscream flew into space following the death of Megatron. Fans will be delighted to know that Starscream's character will be a bit different than what they are used to.

It stars Shia LaBeouf as Sam Witwicky. Megan Fox is also starring in the sequel, which is reason enough to watch the movie. One can expect more action and fights, adding to the excitement quotient. Transformers fans were initially divided over the film due to the radical redesigns of many characters, although the casting of Peter Cullen was warmly received.

After the film's 2009 sequel was titled Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, Roberto Orci was asked if this film would be retitled, just as Star Wars was titled Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope when rereleased. He doubted the possibility, but said if it was retitled, he would call it Transformers: More Than Meets the Eye.

Decepticon forces return to Earth on a mission to take Sam Witwicky prisoner, after the young hero learns the truth about the ancient origins of the Transformers. Joining the mission to protect humankind is Optimus Prime, who forms an alliance with international armies for a second epic battle. The rest is for you to find out.
