Take Action
When I first started in Network Marketing in 1991 I didn't know my butt from my elbows. I liked what I saw and was sure if other people were doing it I could too. I was coming from the restaurant business so it was similar in the idea that both businesses dealt with people. The difference in the restaurant business they came to you. In Network Marketing you had to go to them whether it be in person, on the phone. When you ran out of names on your warm market list you bought leads.
How was I going to approach this new venture? One early AM I saw an infomercial with a gentleman called Tony Robbins. Remember him? The guy with the big teeth. The cassette tapes were called "Personal Power and he was very persuasive so I finally ordered the tapes.
On the very first tape Tony talks about how 10% of the people who order his tapes never take them out the wrapper. They put them on a shelf somewhere and never listen to them. That was not me. I listen to them over and over. I didn't get out of them what I had hoped for, but that was more my problem than the tapes. I guess I was looking for a magical formula.
What made a perfectly clear to me is if you don't "Take Action" no product or production was going to happen. Big plans and goals are great, but without action they just sit there on the paper. Network Marketing is no different than any other business. There are of course unscrupulous people out there who will take advantage of you when you are at the height of your excitement. They tell you buy a kit and some product and watch the money roll in.
In Network Marketing today companies have become very sophisticated with the marketing tools they have plus the various methods on how to do the business. Again nothing happens until you take action. Most often people go into "overwhelm" (another benefit of the tapes) by thinking that they have to do too much everyday. don't try and take giant steps when baby steps is all that is required. Just make sure you you "Take Action."
Committed to your success,
