The 5 Tibetan Rituals And Good Health

By Trevor Johnson
Nov 8, 2009
The 5 Tibetan Rituals are also known as the 5 Tibetan Rites and were discussed in the book The Ancient Secret of the Fountain of Youth by Peter Kelding published in 1985. This book discusses the exercises used by Tibetan monks that enables them to have longevity and an ageless look.

The 5 exercises have several benefits that include a younger look, better ability to sleep, getting up in the morning with vitality, and no pain. Other infirmities that might be relieved include arthritis, memory, vision, youthful look with little to no wrinkling, increased strength and endurance, and improved mental and emotional health.

Tibetan culture relies on seven major chakras that keep the body and mind healthy. They are in charge of the body's endocrine system which contains all the glands that are stimulated in order to achieve proper health. If the endocrine system is in working order than all the organs will work together to promote good health and well being.

The seven major chakras are the root (base of the spine), sacral (navel), solar plexus, heart, throat, third eye (center of forehead), and crown (top of the head). The chakras are linked together with all other systems in the body. The speed in which the chakra spins is relevant to vibrant health so they must spin fast. They must also spin in coordination with each other so it creates harmony within the body. Therefore if the heart chakra isn't spinning as well as the rest of the chakras you may have a heart problem. If the root isn't spinning well you can have spine related difficulties and if the sacral chakra is out of kilter the stomach may be an issue. All must spin relatively the same in order to achieve harmony.

The five rituals or the exercises have several movements including spinning, kneeling on the ground, lying on the ground, moving the arms and legs, and raising the whole body up. Some of the exercises are easy including the spinning in place with arms out one and they run to the more difficult to lifting the body from a lying position with arms and legs. Some of the exercises are difficult for people with bad health. Make sure to inform the doctor that you are going to start this regimen. They are yoga so find an instructor of yoga that can teach you how to do them. Start slowly by doing only 3 each at a time and then increase to 21 but never do more than that. The whole regimen takes 10 to 20 minutes to do.

Also be aware that some detoxification may happen when these exercises are done. The chakras are being cleansed and there may be some unpleasant after effects. Your intestines may be emptied, you may sweat a bit with some odor, and you may experience some flu like symptoms. These are extreme cases and probably won't affect a healthy person. All in all the Five Tibetan Rituals will keep you healthy and young looking for a long time.
