Knives, Knives, and More Knives
Benchmade Mini-Griptillian: The Griptillian I am reviewing is the D2 steel model. It has a Molded rubbery gripped handle. I believe it is some sort of Polycarbonate handle with Rubber Inserts. It has REALLY good retention because of this, even in water. Also it fits the hand nicely. I have small hands so this might not be the case for people with bigger hands.. you may want to try the full size.
Kirby Lambert Inferno Knife: This is a Custom Kirby Lambert Inferno that was custom made to my specs. Beautiful hand-rubbed S30V blade with Kirby's signature spider maker's mark, and Annodized Titanium framelock handles, with a window exposing a beautiful peice of black-lip mother of pearl.
Spyderco Delica C11 Knife: Sypderco's Amazing quality shines through again in these Japanese Made (seki-city) folders. From their Distribution center in Colorado, Spyderco sells some of the highest quality production folders available.
Mike Obenauf Small Model 2 Framelock: Mike Obenauf is one hell of a maker. His knife designs are heavily influenced by his father-in-law, the famous Kit Carson, and that much is obvious from the design of his Model 2. And that's not the only thing they have in common... the quality of his knives is also in the same league, which is saying quite a bit!
Crawford Small KFF Titanium Knife: I purchased this knife on ebay and had it reblasted to new condition as it has some wear. It is a beautiful knife and fits the hand like a glove. There were two models, but I elected to buy the smaller one as it is more convenient to use and more along the lines of what I am looking for.
Airkat Kon-Dor Modified Folding Knife: Hi All. Got a new folder last week and have been carrying it since. Man, this is one Mutha of a folder. It can pretty well be my last tactical Folder as it looks like it will easily outlast me. Built like a tank this tactical Folder was designed for hardcore use. Looking funky and hard lined with all sorts of milling, this knife shows nicely too for any collector.
James McGowan Ti Strider Spanner Key: James is a stand-up guy, and every year when I go to the CKG show I have to pick up a peice by him. This year there were lots of things there as usual, but the cool funky gripped knives were all sold by the time I got there, so I was lucky enough to grab one of these titanium spanners, the last one. Actually it wasn't there earlier, and appeared late, so I'm not sure where it came from.
Kirby Lambert Whar Gouge Grip Knife: Before I got my Spearpoint with the Mammoth handles, this was my favourite Kirby knife. This Whar is unique from other Whar folders because the blade on this one is slightly curved on the spine near the tip... Only two like this exist, and the other one belongs to James Hetfield of Metallica!
