How To Be Happy In Everything That Happens

Aug 18, 2007
Everybody wants to be happy. However, not many people can have long lasting happiness with little or no trouble. Most of us do feel happy some time and spend a lot of time complaining on what we do not like. This is where religions come up to answer. Human beings long for happiness and want to have a better life somehow. We are not going to talk so much into spiritual law here. But instead, we will discuss some simplified techniques to make you feel happier most of the time.

How to be happy is always mysterious in human mind. Do we need to have to have a certain thing happens in our life in order to be happy? Does everybody need the same condition? How are we going to cope with problems calmly and happily? How are we going to win this game called life?

First of all, we need to understand that life, although differs among people, has one law controlling everything that happens. This standard law is applicable to every individual regardless of his background, history or other factors. This law is the master of all other laws and is the cause of all the fact in this universe. The law is called the law of cause and effect. The following are the series of what you have to understand and do in order to lead a happier life.

1. Law of cause and effect indicates that all things have their own cause and source. All effects in the world are originated by some cause. Everything has the reason of its existence. There is no such thing as accident. Everything is controlled by the law of cause and effect. The good news is this law is neutral to all. If we do the exact same thing as other successful people do, we will get the exact same result under the same condition. Once we understand this, we will understand that what we get is from our deed whenever it was in the past. We should not be so annoyed when we get a negative result since we are the one who are responsible for it somehow. To be happier, we need to accept the law of cause and effect and believe that we can change the effect by change the cause.

2. We need to separate the real event of what happens and what it means to us. We can give two different meanings to the exact same event. This is up to us whether we want it to be good or bad or neutral. Once we give the meaning, we will put our feeling into it. This is therefore the secret of happiness. We can feel happy in a certain event if we choose to. For example, death of the love one is the tragedy for most of the society. People normally remorse and be sad for the event. In some society, however, death is a blissful event. They treat it like graduation in life. Morning is not acceptable when death depart their love ones' life. In stead, people celebrate when death come to their family.

3. See thing as it is. Understand the way the world goes. Do not try to make it the way you want, because it will disappoint you. What happens is not set up to be against you. Neither it is to support you. Everything is neutral. If there is a cause, here comes an effect. They are just there. Separate what happens and what it means to you. Practice until it is your habit. You will be happier if you can do it.

Happiness is not difficult to find. It is around in your inner mind waiting to be called out and be utilized. Once you understand the cause of happiness, we can lead a happier life by just simply apply it.
