Seven Techniques To Be Happier in Life

Aug 19, 2007
All of us look for happiness in life. What are the ingredients that make us happy? What have to happen in order to let us feel the way we want? Does happiness related to wealth? How are we going to be happier despite all the problems we are having? This article talks about some simple techniques that we can apply to our life. The techniques were proven to be effective in making people find out who they are and be happier.

1. Start your day with peace and pleasant feeling
There may be chances that you wake up and turn on your TV facing all terrible news. You rush to work against traffic and are worry if you can make it to the office in time. You might have some quarrel with your spouse in the morning about your kids or your contribution in the family. All these can happen and they may tarnish your day. Avoid all sources of negative feeling in the morning. Plan to start your day with positive activities like reading inspiring book or listening to educational audio in the field you love. Exercise for thirty minutes is another good activity. If you don't have enough time at all, just take a few minutes feeling grateful on what you are having. Start your day with gratitude will give you more power to go to work and give you immune to all types of fear. If you start your day well, the rest of the day will be as good as you want.

2. Understand the world. All meanings come from us
Whatever happens is neutral. It is not designed to be against us or favorable for us. It is good or bad because we put our meaning onto it. If the exact same event happens to other people who we do not know, we will feel very neutral to the event. Therefore, we need to learn how to give the empowering meaning to the event happens in our life. No matter how destructive it is, we can still find other way of meaning that will give us power to move forward.

3. Make positive affirmation
Self-concept is a very important tool to happiness. If you are satisfied with yourself, you will be happier. This relates to how you view yourself as a person. Do you feel that you are a valuable and important person in this world? Making positive affirmation about yourself will help elevate your self-concept. Some simple phrase like "I am the best" or " I like myself" can be one of the way to make you feel better toward yourself.

4. Have goals to be happy
"If you want happiness, study happiness." Jim Rohn said this in his teaching. Search for other ways that people use to make them happy and apply to yourself. Read books and attend seminar on the topic. If you search, you will find. If you really want to be happy, you will find your way to do it.

5. Do what you can and do the best you can
If you are good at what you do, you will be happier doing it. You will be good at what you do if you do your best and continuously improve it. You must not neglect to do what you can do if you see a chance that you can. One technique to be happier in life is to do your best whatever meaningful to you.

6. Take time to ponder
Review yourself regularly. Take some minutes quietly by yourself without any task or interruption. If you have no privacy in house or office, go to the park or somewhere that you can be alone. See what you have done and review your mistakes and progresses. When you are alone, you can find peace in yourself and be happier and more positive toward life.

7. Visualize daily
Visualization can make your subconscious mind attract what you want into your life according to the law of attraction. See what you want happens while you are visualizing. See it and feel it. You can add some background audio to your visualization process. It will accelerate your attraction. There are many in the market and Attraction Accelerator can be one of your choices.
